Dita Bolero in Shot Taffeta with Black Piping - Any Colour
This elegant bolero jacket is the perfect companion for one of our wedding or formal dresses. It is cropped to above the waist to complement the shape of the dress underneath and has a flattering curved neckline that is raised slightly at the nape of the neck. The model photographed is made in a dark emerald green taffeta with black satin piping and has fitted elbow length sleeves. However, the Dita Bolero can be made in any of our taffeta fabrics, either with or without black piping around the neckline to highlight the dark undertones in the shot taffeta.

Our made to measure service costs an additional £15 if you take your own measurements and send them to us and means we will custom make the bolero to your specific measurements.
If you would like to visit us at the Dig For Victory shop in Brighton to be measured and to then have a fitting when the bolero is complete, this will cost £30 (or if you are ordering a made to measure dress at the same fitting it will only cost £15 to have the bolero made to measure).
- "Made to Measure" Info
Below are the full set of measurements that we would need to tailor make the bolero. There is a diagram at the bottom to help show how to take them.
Overbust - Take this around your chest above your bust, with the tape measure going under each armpit and around your back and meeting at the front.
Bust - Please take this around the fullest part of your bust. Take the tape measure around the back and meet at the front.
Arm Scye - This is the measurement that determines the size of the arm holes of the garment. Please take this measurement all the way around the top of your shoulder and under your armpit so that the tape measure goes all the way around and meets at the top. (Please tell us the actual measurement of your body and we will add ease to it.)
Shoulder width - This should be taken straight across the back of the shoulders, from the corner of one shoulder to the corner of the other. Please try to do this without curving the tape measure around the sides of the arms.
Upper arm circumference - Gently take the tape measure around the fullest part of your upper arm/bicep.
Above elbow - The circumference of your arm just above the elbow
These jackets are designed to be close fitting in the 1950's style and there is no stretch in the fabric so please let us know if you commonly encounter any fit issues with this type of garment (for example if you have a curved back or shoulders and find jackets often feel too tight in that area or if you often find sleeves or armholes too snug for comfort). This will also help us identify any inaccuracies in the measurements.
