Returns Policy

Here at Dig For Victory our returns process is a little different from some shops as many of our items are custom made to order. We stand by the quality of our products 100% and so if there is ever any fault with an item we will rectify it as quickly as we possibly can or give a full refund, regardless of the order type. However, for items that are not faulty we have listed the returns info below for the three different types of order you might place.

Off the Peg

We have a section in our online shop called Off the Peg where we list all the dresses that we currently have ready made in stock in our Brighton shop. These items are not made to order and they can be returned for an exchange or full refund no questions asked if you contact us within 7 days of receiving your item to arrange the return, and send the items back to arrive with us within 28 days.

Made to Order in a Standard Size

The majority of our dresses are all made to order by our small team of talented seamstresses. You may have just chosen the size and the length that you would like the dress to be made in, or you might have picked a whole new style and fabric to go together. Either way, if you have chosen to have the dress made in one of our standard sizes (UK 6-20) then you can return the dress to be exchanged for a different size or for a made to measure upgrade if it doesn't fit. However, to reduce the chance of this happening, as a lot of care and attention will have been put into making your dress, we do ask people to make sure they check their measurements against those listed for our standard sizes before placing an order, or contact us if you would like some guidance on which standard size will be the best fit for you.

Made to Order in a Custom Size ("Made to Measure")

Every time we get a made to measure order our head seamstress uses your detailed measurements to make up a brand new custom made pattern with which to make the dress. Any made to measure item is therefore non-returnable as it is designed specifically to fit your body! However, the fit of the dress will depend on the accuracy of your measurements and therefore it is sometimes the case that a made to measure dress will benefit from a little tweak/adjustment after it has been received. If this is the case, you may find it easiest to have this done by a local dressmaker but you are also very welcome to return the dress back to us for a free adjustment if you prefer.

Fabric Deposits

We offer an option to place a fabric deposit of £40-£120 to reserve the fabric to have a dress made at a later date. In these cases we will measure and cut the fabric from the roll and store it safely until you are ready to order. This will sometimes also involve us de-listing the fabric so that other customers cannot order it if we are near the end of a roll.  The fabric deposits are therefore non-refundable and non-transferable, and the price of the fabric deposit will be taken off the price of the dress when the order is placed. 

14 Day Cooling Off Period: You are welcome to cancel your fabric deposit for a refund within two weeks of placing it if you change your mind.

Return Options: after two weeks it is non-refundable or transferable (although at our discretion we sometimes may allow customers to transfer their deposit to another fabric minus a 50% cutting/storing fee).
